About Me

Hi, I’m Tim Batts — musician, media creator, audio engineer, and lover of bluegrass and gospel music. I grew up surrounded by songs that told stories, built community, and shaped the culture of our region. Today, I’m grateful to continue that tradition through podcasting, live events, ministry, and professional media work across Western Kentucky and beyond.

I co-host The Hometown Bluegrass Show alongside 20 time bluegrass guitar player of the year, Josh Williams, where we shine a light on the artists, traditions, and sounds that make bluegrass special. As a performer and promoter, I’m proud to support music and audio through my company, Batts Music and Media, which provides event audio, live music, music promotion, media services, and wedding DJ entertainment.

Whether I’m behind a microphone, a mixing console, or a guitar, my goal is always the same: to create meaningful experiences, uplift others, and help great music find its audience.
